Fighting For Your Future

Fighting For Your Future

Divorce is not just about the end of a marriage, it’s about the beginning of a new life for you and your children. What happens now can have an impact on your future.

My name is Timothy Denison. I am a Louisville divorce lawyer with more than 32 years of experience guiding people like you through the divorce process. If I can guide you through it without a fight, that is certainly preferable. However, that depends on the details of your case and the attitude of your spouse. You certainly do not want to back down and give up things that are important to you just because your spouse is not willing to compromise. Sometimes it is better to fight. I am a fighter.

Uncontested Or Contested Divorce

Some divorces are truly uncontested. An uncontested divorce is when both spouses agree on everything, from child custody arrangements to who gets the pots and pans. There is nothing left that needs to be fought over. In these cases, I can efficiently and effectively make certain that the paperwork reflects the agreements and see that the divorce is properly finalized.

If there are still agreements to be reached, a divorce is considered contested. These types of divorce can be resolved through negotiation, mediation or alternative dispute resolution. I encourage these options first, but I always hold in reserve the ability to step into the courtroom and go to battle if that is what it takes to protect your future.

Divorce And All Related Matters

To succeed in a divorce case, an attorney must be able to balance the various overlapping family law issues, including:

  • Property division
  • Spousal support or alimony
  • Child custody
  • Child support

I will make certain that nothing is overlooked and that your divorce case gets the care and attention it deserves.
